A project can only be considered successful if it meets the following requirements: The result must meet the needs specified by the end user. The result must be reached within the estimated time frame. The result must be realized within the estimated budget. In the past, we have proven that the combination of a strong methodology, supported by the necessary documentation and a pragmatic approach is the foundation of successful projects The main characteristics of the EG Top Professionals project approach, iProcess, are iterating development cycles, direct user involvement and the use of UML as the standard for analysis, design and documentation. RUP and Rational tools form the basis of the methodology, supplemented with some practical insight, and a modular approach that allows even small projects to comply with it.iProcess is implemented in all RLS divisions, and is supported by documentation, templates, tools and several courses (analysis and design, iProcess training). This ensures the quality of deliverables to customers, standardization within the company, and repeatable success of projects of any type! It involves projects where a clearly defined assignment against a fixed price is delivered at a fixed period of time. The assignment can comprise the entire development, ranging from the analysis to the testing included. It can be limited, however, to certain parts or components thereof: EG Top Professionals can use a proper methodology within the fixed time/fixed price projects,however, without losing sight of the client's standards and desires. EG Top Professionals commits itself to achieve the required results. It goes without saying that on a regular basis, tuning sessions with the clients are foreseen, in order to ensure a good follow-up. Fixed time/fixed price projects require well balanced teams. Sufficient flexibility is indeed needed on a technical and functional scope. Such projects can be handled as well with a mixture of experienced people on the one hand, and newcomers, who can provide an air of refreshment on the other hand.
